P-PM-01: Compensatory Supports

This measure considers whether facilities can provide an early learning program to provide formal compensatory support, including financial compensation, which encourages staff retention. This compensatory support must be offered and provided within the last 12 months. Below are examples of compensatory support:

  • Written wage or salary scale
  • Providing benefits
  • Paid planning time
  • Paid time off
  • Educational assistance
  • Employee recognition 

Providing employee luncheons or office supplies does not constitute compensatory support.
