This measure assesses the outdoor equipment and materials used for infants. The facility should provide infants with more than just blankets, balls, and toys. Infants must have age-appropriate equipment and materials that encourage infants to experience their environment.
Some examples of appropriate outdoor equipment and materials are:
- Foam Blocks for climbing and building
- Tunnels for crawling
- Vinyl Mats for crawling, sitting, or lying on
- Small Climbing Structures
- Push or Pull toys
- Low Swings
- Balls
- Short Hoop with Small Balls
- Low Slide
